2010 Wizard Tournaments

Everything is Tentative but current thinking is as follows:

“Wizard Cards International Inc.” and “U.S. Games Systems Inc.” will send 4 Wizard Champions to the World Championships in Germany. The sponsorship will consist of airfare from the person’s domicile plus accommodation. “Amigo-Spiele” hopes to host the 2010 championships in or near the “Frankenstein Castle” which is located 40km from Frankfurt or about 15km south of Darmstadt..

The tentative date is the end of September or early October

The 4 players representing North America will be selected as follows:

1. A Wizard tournament held in the TORONTO area on a Saturday with 80 - 100 players. There will not be a Friday welcoming reception.

I am checking it out but I believe that the German tournament is played using only 4-handed games. If this is truly the case then all games for this tournament will be 4-handed games. Top 2 players win trips to Germany.


3. An online tournament which will consist of the total of a player’s Top 10 scores for the period running from January 1, 2010 through June 31, 2010. Top 2 players win trips to Germany.


North American Fantasy Deck

The Fantasy deck is now complete. The “Legend” behind the cards and the characters represented on the cards have been described in earlier Newsletters. If you are interested they are still available online at www.wizardcards.com.

The cards are color-coded which should help to prevent some misplays.

The deck will be available for downloading as soon as Victor is able to put the cards on the site.


German Fantasy Deck

The German Fantasy deck will be used for the 2010 World Championships. The deck is now available for online ordering on the Wizard site.
