The only way to have a fair world champion is to have a local champions, then a country champion and then all those country champions playing in a final world championship in different locations!

How can you say one is a world champion when there are world class players in other countries or large online base that have not had the chance to participate?

Agreed with you merlin.
My point of view: no need to have champion at local, national level. Just allow EVERYONE to participate. The only way to do that is by THIS WEBSITE. Secondly, you choose a game that most of players could play: regular or magic. Thirdly, you should have fair rules. Not to sell my salad, but PINK RULES are THE FAIREST.

another point: US sends 2 players, Canada 2 players.

Are they really the best? I don't dare to answer that question.

For Spain, Carles will find 1 or 2 players to represent Spain just by 1 tournament. Is it valid? No

So, it's not legit to call that "World championship"
