I have been talking with a few other players recently and the topic was..."where do we find a list of online tournaments posted on this site." I have not found them. Neither have others. Under announcemets there is a place that says it lists tourney news and results. I don't see any tourneys for this site usually listed or the results. It is usually just posted by someone in the chat when a tourney is going to happen. I think there should be a relatively easy spot to post these tourneys. I miss quite a few as I do not know when they are being held. If your not a player who is on here a lot, you just don't know the dates. Would probably have better success with tournament attendance. Just my opinion.
RE: TOURNAMENTS
The results and statistics for most Online Tournaments are listed under the forum TOURNAMENTS (strangely enough).
The results for the INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENTS are listed under the forum TOP 10. This is because these tournaments are restricted to the top players in
the Top 10 for the previous month.
Now what about Upcoming Online Tournaments? Where should they be listed? They are posted on the PORTAL PAGE under NEWS and are always posted at least
a week before the tournament.
So if any player does not know of an upcoming online tournament it is because they do not take the time to read the NEWS on the PORTAL PAGE.
I apologize for not finding the time to send every member a personal e-mail advising them of upcoming online tournaments and then perhaps making a
personal phone call on the day of the event as a reminder but my schedule simply does not permit it.
Well thank you for the info Wizard. Have not really seen info posted under Wizard News for upcoming tourneys, but have seen the results posted.
Somehow today its posted that there is a tourney today. This was not posted one week in advance.
But I will look more closely from now on. I do usually check the home page.
Actually, I did post the tournament 2 or 3 weeks ago in News, but I noticed a couple of days ago, i t was no longer there, so reposted and have been
mentioning in chat this week.
Will try and be more diligent in the future that the word is spread.
